Summary

Press release announcing World Bank US$195 million IDA credit for the IDEA project. Describes objectives of issuing digitised NID cards to 90 million citizens over five years, enabling machine-readable biometric identification to replace paper-based cards, and enhancing public and private service delivery through proper client identification.
