Summary

Reports IDEMIA Smart Identity and NIMC renewed their contract on 28 February 2024 for three years. The upgrade deploys IDEMIA's IBRS (IDEMIA Biometric Recognition System), latest-generation ABIS with improved algorithms and OSIA-compatible open interfaces. System capacity expanded from 100M to 250M records with 1 million 1:1 and 1:N searches per day. Nigeria had issued over 104M NINs at time of reporting.
